How To Add (Or Hide) Veggies in Your Smoothies
Do You ever bake with Zucchini?
If you bake with Zucchini, and just toss the juice down the drain, STOP! That juice is valuable! Add it to your smoothie!
A while ago I had the epiphany that I can freeze that juice in ice cube trays and add it to our smoothies!
Shred, squeeze, Freeze!
I recommend having a kid shred it for you, and then you can squeeze it whenever you're going to be baking. Then just fill up an ice cube tray and stick it in the freezer. Then whenever you're going to be making smoothies you just toss a few cubes in.
Serve and Enjoy!
We also add things like spinach, chia seeds, flax, the options are endless but this is currently our go to smoothie. Strawberries, banana's, frozen zucchini juice, and the organic juice mixes from Aldi. I use half the juice bottle, and about the same amount of water. We do have to make ours dairy free as we have Gluten and Dairy free kids, otherwise you could add milk and juice.
