Kid Friendly AND Gorgeous Easter Tablescape!

Learn how to hang things from your ceiling

BIG IMPACT – LOW EFFORT

If you want big impact, without breakable things all over your table, your ceiling is the answer. A roll of string, yarn, fishing line, whatever you have on hand, and a pack of thumbtacks. Grab some faux florals, a mix of long dangly ones and stems make for a big impact. You have to climb onto the table. No dancing required. You just keep pushing them into the ceiling until you like it. The stems you will need to tie tightly around the stem and have a longer string. Just wrap the string around the thumbtack and stick it into the ceiling. I used about 10 on each side of my chandelier, which I intertwined some of the long pieces into as well.

Make it gorgeous and kid friendly

This is not an expensive or even proper table runner. It's a SHEET. Grab a sheet from your linen closet, fold it vertically and put it on your table. Boom, kid friendly, no worries about staining, throw it in the wash. Remember last year eggs were crazy expensive? We did paper mache eggs from Walmart, but here's some from Amazon and you can totally dye them just like real eggs. I put the eggs in a vase, added some bunnies I grabbed a couple years ago, added ribbon and some faux florals, all reused, nothing new. Kid friendly, nothing expensive. The vase is the only breakable item on the table

The cabinet is a bonus

The cabinet behind the table is a bonus. You don't have to add decor to it, the table is plenty if that's all you have energy for. I added the brown paper bags my mom gifted to my big kids a few years ago, and I loved them so much I kept them, and she had to make more for my littles as they were born. Sentimental can be beautiful when displayed simply. I added some carrot garlands I picked up last year and a bunny I got a hobby lobby a few years ago.

Go grab a sheet and dig through your Easter bins, make it simple but beautiful!

Happy Easter,
Melinda
